I am Assistant Professor of Data Science and AI at University of Sheffield, UK. I am also "Principal Investigator (PI)" at  Alan Turing Institute, UK in collaboration with Industry "Transport for London TfL". Previously from March 2023 to Jan 2025, I also worked as Research Fellow (AI & Health Data Sciences) at University of Leeds, UK. In addition to that, I was also "Honoured Visiting Researcher" at Newcastle University from Jan 2024 to Jan 2025. I am also General Chair of Women in Computer Vision WiCV (>3000 members) @IEEE/CVF CVPR. At Industry, I worked for two years as Machine Learning Research Scientist at mindtrace.ai, Manchester, UK. My fields of interest are Computer Vision (Object Detection and Image Classification), Machine Learning (Deep Neural Networks), Multimedia Event Processing, and Internet of Multimedia Things (IoMT). I completed my Ph.D. in 2021 from the Insight Centre for Data Analytics, University of Galway, Ireland. Before joining Ph.D. I worked as a Assistant Professor (Lecturer) in the Department of Computer Engineering, AMU, India from 2015 to 2016. I completed B.S./B.Tech. and M.S./M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from India, in 2013, and 2015, respectively. I was also recipient of Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) Fellowship, GATE, IDB, and Sir Syed Scholarships in my PhD, Masters, and Bachelors.  I am also recipient of Global Talent (with Exceptional in UK) by UKRI. During my eight years of research, I published multiple papers in various conferences (CVPR, ICMR, DEBS, INDICON etc.) and journals (IEEE Access, IMAVIS Elsevier, MTAP Springer, Procedia Computer Science, Lecture Notes in Computer Science). Till now, I also served as a reviewer for different conferences and journals including ICML, AISTATS, NeurIPS, International Journal of Communication System, Imaging Science Journal, IEEE Access, IEEE Transactions etc. I am Guest Editor of MDPI  Journal of Imaging, Special Issue “Computer Vision for Image Processing: Progress, Challenges and Future Trends". I am Editorial Board of Discover Data, Springer Nature Journal. I am also Co-PI and PI on multiple grants including NIHR Team Science, Alan Turing, Horizon, AIM-RSF, UKRI CDT etc.
